The Gunnison is fishing outstanding! We are in early fall mode, beatis nymphs, hoppers, and streamers have been working well. The flows are great for float or wade fishing. There are a ton on Kokanee around Almont and they are still fighting well. Fish the heat of the day for the best trout action. This October should be one of the best months of the year. Eli and Joel are back from hosting 2 weeks on the Kvichak River. Fishing big water for big hard fighting rainbows. Eggs and flesh were on the menu. Some very nice fish were hooked and some where landed. We rank these fish as some of the hardest fighting trout on the planet.
